Citizen Mycology

These sites are very cool, check them out!

Just a few sites are listed, I will be adding more soon! If I had any idea how a webring worked I would make one of those bad boys.

autumnhere

Autumn is a naturalist and professional ecologist from australia who is currently working with threatened insect species.

decomdiatom

Silica runs this website dedicated to microscopy and other fun stuff. Excited to see what they do.

digitalhumus

A site filled with lots of naturalist goodies, my favorite being the 'NaSaun' feature where you can take a trip through a bit of nature.

eFlora

A massive directory of information on all sorts of organisms. The site also contains some other information about biology.

myrmeform

Made by an ant lover (or are they secretly an ant?), lots of interesting information about certain species of ants.

Not Your Daddy's Grass

An educational resource for alternatives to the traditional monoculture lawn. This site was a part of a university project.

Parks Mycologist

A wealth of information about lichens and mushrooms found in Canada. This is a great site to visit if you are just starting out in amateur mycology or lichenology.

Ratfater (mypersonalhell)

A hobby mycologist documents encounters with all sorts of fungi.

Stop the Spray BC

This site aims to educate the public as well as the government about the dangers of our current practices concerning herbicide and monoculture in BC forestry.

Ways of Enlichenment

An excellent reasource for the budding lichenologist. I first learned about Trevor Goward in the book 'Entangled Life' by Merlin Sheldrake. I quickly found this website run by Trevor and fellow lichenologist, Curtis Bjork. If you'd like to learn more about lichens in the PNW give these guys a visit.
